We Give Back to the Brave Men and Women Who Have Served Our Country and Its People
Our veterans gave so much to protect our freedom — now it’s our turn to support them at home.
Through the Veterans Administration (VA), qualifying veterans and their spouses may be eligible for financial or in-home care assistance under two programs: Aid & Attendance and the VA Community Care Network (VACCN).
Aid & Attendance provides up to $2,200 per month to veterans and their surviving spouses who need help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, or mobility. This benefit helps families receive personalized in-home support so loved ones can continue living safely and comfortably at home.
VACCN, on the other hand, is available only to veterans who are referred by their VA provider for home care services. This benefit can provide up to 28 hours of care per week, fully covered by the VA, to assist with personal care, companionship, and other daily needs.
At Akahina Home Care, our dedicated VA benefits team will walk you through both options — helping you confirm eligibility, gather documents, and connect with the right resources.
Let’s help you claim the care you deserve.

VA Benefit Assistance
Our VA Accredited Benefits Agents can help Veterans and their spouses apply for these benefits from the comfort of their own homes and get approved 99.5% of the time within 2-5 months. Going to a local VA Regional Office to apply will most likely result in many trips to the VA Office, long lines, and waiting up to 10 years to get a decision on their application that 2/3 of the time will statistically be a “benefit denial.” See the below video for the CBS News Investigation on local VA Regional Offices – which uncovers how VA employees “hide” benefit applications in cabinets for years to reduce their workload.
The Ten-Year Wait
Over 900,000 VA claims filed at local VA offices are waiting up to 10 years for a decision due to the growing backlog.
